Weddings are stressful enough as it is. Hundreds of hours of planning and thousands of dollars go into this one day, and if you're the bride or the groom, you want it to be perfect. Unfortunately, wedding venues are not perfect, especially churches. If you want a church wedding, you'll likely have to put a lot of time and effort into schmoozing the church for them even to consider you eligible for a wedding in their fine institution. If you can get past that point of gatekeeping, you have to tailor your ceremony to their rules. I understand if churches don't want to host weddings where everybody is half-naked, but their standards for clean and moral weddings can be impossibly high. Sometimes, you won't even know you're not in line with their strict code until the wedding day; this is precisely what happened to one distraught bride whose husband decided to do something about it.
